In wet and windy conditions this nutter sounded his horn continously at a cyclist who was negotiating a small roundabout on Govan Rd between Paisley Rd West and the new "Squinty Bridge". Not satisfied that he almost caused an accident through his discourteous road rage, he then stopped his vehicle and threatened the cyclist with physical violence. when the cyclist circumnavigated him and proceeded along the road the driver then got back into his vehicle and drove at menacing speed straight at the cyclist, threatening to run him down and forcing him off the road. Less than fifty yards further up the road the driver had to stop at the next set of traffic lights behind other motorists for a minute or so, thus enabling all his details to be recorded. Is the death or severe injury of a cyclist who obeys the highway code worth the few seconds this type of wanton road rage gains in journey time?
