Incident Type:
White Van Man
Date:
08 March 2007
Time:
17:49
Make & Model:
ford Escort
Colour:
White
Reg:
County:
Highlands
What happened:
I was approaching traffic light at roads works 2 miles south of kingussie and in front of me was this Gold Volvo. We both slowed down as the light had changed to red and this van S78MGB over took me and the volvo and went through the red light to catch the vehicles who had just gone through. The vehicles must of been a good 300 yards away so to catch them up he must of been doing double the 30 MPH at the road works. Thing is I got to Inverness at the same time as he did, The point ??? Dont really know but i suppose its his life and licence...

Incident Type:
Cut Me Up
Date:
06 July 2006
Time:
11:41
Make & Model:
nothing selected Car Transporter
Colour:
Reg:
County:
Highlands
What happened:
A car transporter driver was (presumably) angry at being held up (I was driving at 50mph - well above the 40 mph limit for trucks). At a 3 lane section of the northbound A9 he got an opportunity to overtake (by crossing hatched lines). Before completed the manoeuvre, he deliberately cut in sharply, forcing me off the road. If I had not swerved off the carriageway, I would have been crushed.
By the way, there are no notices on this section urging drivers to pull in to let the speed merchants past.

Date:
02 September 2000
Time:

Make & Model:
nothing selected bus / coach
Colour:
White
Reg:
County:
Highlands
What happened:
We were driving at max speed limit of 60mph, the Dewars of Falkirk bus was right up the backside of the car. Obviously the speed limit for lorries and buses is 55mph, so the driver was breaking the speed limit at 60mph.

The bus was peeping and had its headlights on full beam, i think this could be classed as road rage.

We pulled to the side but it didnt overtake us.

The driver was obviously under the impression he was in a car and he also possibly through he was on a motorway- which he wasnt.
